The meaning of Pushkar is the one who purifies or nourishes and Lord Vishnu is known to be the Pushkaraakshah, the one who nourishes.
According to traditional astrology during the Pushkar Navamsa, the whole planet is nourished.
A lake named pushkara is located in Rajasthan and has the only sacred temple of Lord Brahma in India.
The ancient text says that Pushkaram means 12 years.
A dip in any of the 12 big rivers of India during the Kartik mass (month) and especially when Jupiter is in a specific zodiac, is known as pushkar snan.
Scientific Reasons Behind Pushkar Snan
Pushkara snan is considered to be equally beneficial as doing Ashwamedha Yag, charity at Kurukshetra, mediation at the Narmada river, and death rituals in Kashi.
Before taking a dip in the river for pushkara snan, it is a ritual to prepare small mud balls and drop them in the river as a request to ask for taking bath in that particular place.
The movement of Jupiter in the zodiac signs gives the rivers the Pushkar or nourishing power.
The information here reveals the movement of Jupiter in the zodiac signs and the sacred rivers that get pushkar energy for nourishment.
Accordingly, when Jupiter moves from Aries to Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces, Then River Ganga, Narmada, Saraswati, Yamuna, Godavari, Krishna, Kaveri, Bheema, Pushkara vahini, Thunga Bhadra, Sindhu and Pranhita get Pushkara power respectively.
During the Pushkara navamsa, the electromagnetic field of the earth is enhanced due to the solar magnetic activity cycle or sunspot cycle.
It magnetizes the water of the rivers and attributes healing properties to the water.
Studies suggest that when you bath in the river during this period, the entire system of the body is raised to a level similar to the effect of meditation.
The water during this period acquires magnetic power from the earth and is stored until the very early hours of the sunrise.
Hence, pushkara snan is especially carried out during the dawn.
It is believed that a person who performs this bathing ritual is relieved from several health disorders.
Possibilities of Diseases due to Pushkara Snan.
