According to WHO, diabetes would become the 7th leading reason for death by 2030. India currently has 49% of diabetic patients across the world. In India, about 7.8% of the population belonging to the age group above 18 years are undergoing treatment for diabetes.

Doctors suggest medication apart from medicines as an effective way to control symptoms. For this type of treatment, tablets are also given along with an injection. But the best results come when patients take a combination of insulin and different medications to control the blood sugar level in the body.

Talking about females, the figure reached 64.6%. Although, the risk increases more as we get older.

The major cause of growing diabetes in India is urbanization. More and more people are migrating to cities to gain employment. With the urbanization settlement, the lifestyle of people is becoming worse day by day, making people more prone to health issues like obesity and diabetes, etc.
